Hello everyone. I hope all is well with you and your families.
This week I would like to talk to you about faith and being an overcomer. One thing we must realize is in order to be an overcomer, you must have faith. So, the first step in becoming an overcomer is building up your faith. One might ask, faith in what? You need to build up your faith in God. Our strength comes from God. So whatever it is that needs to be conquered in our lives, it will only be done by faith in God.
Mark 11:23-24 “(23) For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (24) Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” NKJV
The key word in this passage of scripture is BELIEVE. We must believe in the power of God. We must believe that His Word is true. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…you cannot both believe and doubt at the same time.
Sometimes when we’ve been praying for something for so long, we begin to lose hope. Doubt begins to creep into our hearts and our minds. We must be determined to hold on to whatever our mountain may be. When we feel doubt and fear gripping our hearts, we must seek the Lord. Ask Him to renew our strength and confidence in Him.
Isaiah 40:29-31 says:
"(29) He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
(30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
(31) But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."
NKJVThe Lord will renew our strength if we will just seek Him. We cannot allow life and circumstances to deter our faith.
2 Cor 4:8-9 says:
(8) We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; (9) persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed
NKJVKeep speaking to your mountain. Don’t give up. We have to remember that we are in a spiritual battle. We have all of the tools we need to make it.
Ephesians 6:10-13
(11) Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (13) Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
NKJVIt is vital that we keep the whole armor of God on. We must also keep the mindset that we are already conquerors. Romans 8:37 reminds us that we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. We have to hold on to His Word. Keep speaking the Word to our mountains and ourselves.
Tell yourself what Romans 8:31 says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” With God on our side, we have nothing to fear.
Remember what 1 John 4:4 says:
"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
NKJVYou are an overcomer! You are victorious! You are more than a conqueror!
Whatever your mountain is, speak to it. Speak the Word to your mountain. Keep believing for your breakthrough. Keep believing God for your healing. Keep believing God to heal your marriage. Keep believing God to save your children, or your loved ones. Keep believing God to deliver your finances. Keep believing God to make a way out of no way for you. Keep believing God for whatever your situation may be.
Tell your mountain what Luke 1:37 says:
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.“
Every word that you speak to your mountain, BELIEVE IT! Never doubt God’s Word. He will do what He says He will do.
I encourage you today to continue to build up your faith. Believe what God’s Word says. Remember that with God on your side, you cannot fail. Keep speaking to your mountains, because your breakthrough is on the way!
God bless!!
